Policies

  • Class are automatically billed monthly and include 4 weeks of classes. This is a rolling session which means you will be rolled over to the the new session in January. You can let us know by the 18th of any month if you want to drop a class for the following month.

    All enrollments include auto-payment as part of registration and participation in any program. Auto-enrollment allows for each student to hold their spot in a class until a drop date is confirmed.

  • A $30 non-refundable annual membership fee will be assessed per child at the time of enrollment in a class program or at an anniversary renewal date.

    The Annual Membership is required for class enrollment and members will also receive discounts for open gym and kids night out reservations.

  • Open enrollment for new students begins two weeks prior to the start of a new session. However, you may enroll at any time during the session provided there is space in the class. If there is no room in the class of your choice, please join the waitlist so you may be notified as soon as there is an opening

    Once a student is enrolled in a weekly class, that spot is reserved until a class drop is requested.

    Tuition is prorated if a student starts enrollment in the middle of a session. After that, our make up policy applies for any missed classes.

    Auto-pay charges/payments for each 4 week block of classes is typically, run on the 20th of the month for the following month of classes.

    Once auto-enrollment is processed, refunds/credits may only be issued according to our class drop and refund policies.

  • Tuition is due at the time of enrollment.

    A credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover) must be on file for auto-payment processing. Auto-enrollment issues due to credit or debit card processing failures may result in an enrollment being dropped. Please keep an updated card on file on your account, or contact the office to update it for you.

  • Each new student is allowed one paid drop-in trial class.

    Trials must be scheduled through the front desk or by calling the office.

    Paid drop-in trial prices:

    $23 - 45 min class trial

    $25 - 55 min class trial

    Trial classes must be paid in full at registration.

    Trials may only be scheduled within 1 week of the intended class time.

    If a trial occurs in an opening created by an absence, enrollment in that trial’s particular time slot is not guaranteed.

    Please stop by the front desk to enroll in a class after a trial is finished. At this time of enrollment, the remaining tuition and annual registration fee will be assessed.

  • 2 weeks written notice is required for setting a drop date for a class. The drop date indicates the last day that class will occur for a particular enrollment.

    To drop a class, please email a request to jungle.gym@comcaset.net and include the student’s name, class day and time, and last date of intended participation. Alternatively, call or stop by the office to process your request.

    Classes that are not properly dropped are not refundable. For example, being unaware of the auto-enrollment feature of our classes is not an acceptable excuse.

    If you wish to transfer to a different class time or level, you will not incur any fees, just let us know and we will be happy to help you.

  • Makeup tokens are generated for excused absences and unforeseen closures at the time of the missed class.

    Regular makeup tokens can be used for an opening in the same class level or toward an open gym. A student may receive up to only one makeup token per weekly class enrollment per calendar month. If you are enrolled in one class per week, you may receive one make-up token, if you are scheduled for twice per week, you may receive up to two tokens per calendar month.

    Makeup classes may only be scheduled within 1 week of the intended class.

    Students must be actively enrolled in a class to use a makeup token.

    Makeup tokens are issued on the day of the missed class and expire after 60 days. If you’d like your child to come to one of the hour long open gym times for their make up, just ask and we will set it up.

  • 24 hours notice is required for an absence to be excused.

    Excused absences will generate a makeup token at the time of the missed class.

    Written notice via email or absence requests via the iClassPro Parent Portal are preferred and traceable. Verbal notice is not guaranteed to be processed. Notice is not official until it is recorded and confirmed in iClassPro. There will be no exceptions.

    Notice of an absence within 24 hours of a scheduled class (common for sickness or last-minute changes) will be issued an open-gym-only makeup token.

    Absences without any notice will be marked as unexcused and will not generate a makeup token.

  • Students should arrive 5 minutes before their scheduled class or camp time.

    A parent or guardian must come into the gym to drop off their child. Please check your child in for class at the front desk.

    Late arrivals should check in with the front desk for instructions on how to join a class that has already started.

    If dropping off, parents must pick up their student on time or will be subject to the “Late Pickup Policy”.

    Students must be picked up promptly at the end of each program class, camp, or event.

    A parent or guardian must come into the gym to pick up their child. If someone else is to pick them up, the front desk must have written permission in the family account notes.

  • A late fee of $1/minute per child will be charged starting 5 minutes after the scheduled end time of a camp or open gym. This fee also applies to classes that end at the close of business. For example, if camp ends at 9 PM and pick-up happens at 9:15 PM, the late fee will be $10. If pickup happens at 9:36 PM, the late fee will be $31. The purpose of this fee is to encourage timely and safe pickups that allow staff to close the gym at daily closing times.

    The gym will attempt to contact the parent or guardian on file. If a parent or guardian cannot be reached after 30-60 minutes past closing time, the Burien Police may be contacted for assistance and safety.

    Repetitive late pickup or non-payment of late fees will result in the suspension of membership privileges.

  • The gym rarely closes for inclement weather, however, if the Gym does close due to inclement weather will be notified via email and posted online via the gym website and social media.

    The Jungle Gymnastics will use the Highline School District weather closures and delays only as a guideline. Please refer to the website and social media for any class closure or cancellation updates.

    If the gym will close for inclement weather or excessive heat, you will receive a gym credit.

  • Enrollment cancelation at least 14 days prior to the start of enrollment can be refunded less a 10% administrative fee.

    Cancelation within 14 days of the start of enrollment will follow the 2-week class drop policy.

    Credit balances must be used within one year of issuance. After one year, the balance will expire.

  • Camp cancelation at least 30 days prior to the start of camp enrollment can be refunded less a 10% administrative fee.

    Camp cancelation 15-29 days prior to the start of camp enrollment can be refunded less a 30% cancelation fee.

    Camp cancelation 8-14 days prior to the start of camp enrollment can be refunded less a 50% cancelation fee.

    Camp cancelation within 7 days of the start of camp enrollment is non-refundable.

    Cancelations due to inclement weather will be refunded in the form of a gym credit. Refunds can be requested less a 10% administrative fee.

  • Cancelation Fees:

    There is a $50 charge for cancellations more than 4 weeks in advance. Cancellations less than 4 weeks before the scheduled party date will be charged $100. Cancellations less than 2 weeks in advance of you scheduled party date will result in the forfeiture of the $200 deposit. There are no refunds for completed parties, including no shows.

    Rescheduling Fees:

    If you need to change the time or date of your party at least 4 weeks in advance, there is no charge for rescheduling. Rescheduling less than 4 weeks in advance is a $50 charge, and less than 2 weeks in advance is a $100 charge to reschedule.

  • Students must be respectful of all rules, coaches, and fellow students.

    Students who become disruptive to others in class/camp will not be able to participate in class. In certain cases, a parent may be contacted for early pick-up.

    Students who exhibit bullying behavior towards others may be asked to sit out of class. Each case of bullying will be treated with urgency, investigated, and discussed with a parent or guardian.

    Students who are physically violent in class/camp will be removed immediately, and a parent will be notified for pickup.

    There will be no refunds or credits for missing a class or camp due to disruptive/violent behavior.

  • No gum is allowed anywhere inside the gym facility.

    Food and drink are allowed only in the front entrance area.

    No shoes are allowed in the gym, however socks are optional, but bare feet are highly recommended for classes.

  • Students should wear a properly fitting leotard or a tucked-in t-shirt and shorts.

    Sports bras or half-cropped tops may not be worn as outerwear.

    Long hair should be pulled back neatly and securely away from the face. Buns are preferred.

    Students should not wear bows or other large hair ornaments.

    Please leave all jewelry at home. The gym is not responsible for any items lost or stolen.

    Shoes and socks should be removed and placed in a locker or under a bench before entering class.

Gym policies are in place in order for The Jungle Gym to provide a fun, safe, and educational space for students to learn, play and celebrate.

Party Policies

You can reserve your date with a $200 deposit, or pay in full. The balance, including any extras, is due before your party date. 

Cancellation Fees:  

There is a $50 charge for cancellations more than 4 weeks in advance. Cancellations less than 4 weeks before the scheduled party date will be charged $100. Cancellations less than 2 weeks in advance of you scheduled party date will result in the forfeiture of the $200 deposit. There are no refunds for completed parties, including no shows.

Reschedule Fees:  

If you need to reschedule the date or time of your party, changes may be made without charge up to 4 weeks before the party date.Rescheduling less than 4 weeks in advance is a $50 charge, and less than 2 weeks in advance is a $100 charge to reschedule.

  • You may arrive five or ten minutes before your appointment start time to set up in the party room. Your guests can enter the gym at the hour of your party start time after the waiver is signed. Please don't hesitate to ask our staff if you would like a little help with setting up. If there is a party before yours, we will try to have it clear as soon as possible for your set up. Please pay the balance of your party the week before the event. If you haven't paid the balance yet, you can pay it upon arrival. If you have paid in full and more guests arrive than you expected from your reservation estimate, there will be an additional fee of $20 per child.

  • The party ends promptly after 1 hour and 30 minutes. All kids must exit the gym at this time. Our staff will begin clean up 15 minutes before the end of the party. You will have 5 or 10 minutes to clear out of the party room for the next party. If you would like additional time for clean up, you can request to go in to the party room a little earlier. We usually send the kids into the party room for refreshments after 1 hour of play in the gym.

  • The party area has kids tables as well as a serving table with tablecloths, a Happy Birthday banner with your child’s name on the window. We also have a couple of big birthday balloons around the table. If you are interested in buying one of the balloons, you can inquire at the desk. We don’t have theme specific decorations, but you are welcome to bring your own. We don’t allow alcohol, confetti, glitter or silly string at our parties.

  • You may bring whatever food, snacks, pizza, cake and non-alcoholic drinks that you would like. You should bring any paper products and utensils you may need for serving your guests. Please let the staff know if you would like any help in the party room with serving. Otherwise we will leave you with private time with your guests until the kids come back into the gym. Keep it simple with cake or have a feast, it's up to you. Round Table Pizza will generously give a 20% discount off your order for the party! Just let them know you would like the party discount for delivery to The Jungle Gym. Have it delivered 30 - 45 minutes after the start of your party. We also have a small refrigerator/freezer for your convenience.

  • For non-themed parties our party leader(s) will loosely structure the party with some activities and free time to provide maximum fun! Please let them know how they can help in any way. Also, please feel free to let the party leader(s) know if you have a request for a certain game or activity and they will do their best to fit it in.

  • As your guests check in for the party and sign a waiver, kids can explore the gym. After 15-30 minutes of exploration, the party leader will gather the kids for a greeting and possibly a group activity. Free time and other activities will follow. At the 45 minutes to an hour mark the kids will head to the party area for refreshments and/or cake. If time remains in your party, the kids can return to the gym for more play time.

    If you would like to serve adults food as well, we recommend having them eat first, during the first hour while the kids are playing. Keep in mind there is no food or drink allowed in the gym area. There is seating for all the kids, but adult seating is more limited.

  • As soon as a staff member is available, he/she will begin cleaning up the party room when the kids go back in to the gym, so that you can enjoy the party. The party will end promptly at the hour and 30 minute mark. At this time, all you will have to do is say goodbye to your guests and collect your things. Please be conscientious of the next party coming in or for the end of the evening if yours is the last party. 

  • As you receive your rsvp's let us know by phone if you want to change the number range of kids you will be expecting so we can adjust our staff accordingly. Children 6 months and under are free, as well as adults. When estimating your total, don't forget your own children, siblings, and kids 7 months to 15 years old. If you end up having a few more guests than your reservation on the day of the party, we will adjust your balance due accordingly ($20 per extra child). Keep in mind that letting us know in advance will ensure that you have proper staff coverage. If you end up with less kids, you will still be charged the balance according to the range of kids in the reservation.

  • Please let us know ahead of time if you would like to add our Bouncy House ($30), a Theme for activities ($30) or Bongo or Mango ($30) the monkey mascots to visit your party, so we can invite him/her! Piñatas filled with candy are available for purchase at the gym for $45. There is a $10 charge if you would like to bring your own piñata and our staff will take care of the safe set up and completion of the game. You may add an additional birthday child for $25 per additional birthday child.
